((Encouraged by Bindi, my writings and maybe a new character))
When I first learned to hyperjump, to do cool kung fu moves, to be stronger and faster than any normal human being I felt like Superman. Little did I know that others would see me as a hero. Like normally I took the exit on the roof to leave the building. It is some kind of secure feeling knowing I can jump in any direction and the bluepills wouldn’t see me. I was wearing a mask and a green duster coat, if I would use my gun people would sure think I was going to rob a bank. It was worth it, the cypherites wouldn’t recognize me and the special code in the mask protected me a bit too. I was just about to call Tyndal if she had any assignments when I heard a woman scream. I ran to the edge of the roof and saw 40 feet beneath me a young bluepill followed by some members of an exile gang. “They are going to far now..” I thought to myself. Without hesistation I jumped down and by accident landed on top of one of the exiles who was knocked out immediately. The other three turned around. “Didn’t your mother tell you that it isn’t nice to chase people around?” I said. Yeah, I know taunting is not one of my best abilities. “You die now Redpill!” the leader of the exiles said. It must have looked strange for the woman a man wearing a mask and sunglasses taunting three others and wondering where he came from. “And I thought I was bad at those quips,” The leader launched at me with his full weight which I dodged, he turned around and tried to pull out a gun, I kicked it out of his hand and knocked him out. The other two exiles attacked at the same time but with two kicks they were accounted for. I looked at the woman. “Are you alright miss?” I asked. She nodded fearfully. “Go home, it’s not safe here,” I said helping her standing up. “Are you some kind of hero?” she stuttered. “Me? No, I’m just a guy who tries to help,” “Thank you,” she said smiling slightly. “Just be safe,” I muttered. The woman turned around and walked away quickly. I jumped onto the nearest roof and followed her until I was sure she was safe at home. My phone rang. “Yes?” “Tyndal here, we need to you to extract someone, uploading address to you now, good luck warrior,”
It was hers

((thanks Bindi, and thanks Ivy for giving a name to our operator, and she gets to order me around too here, I'll bet she likes that )) I couldn’t believe it, the woman I just rescued from exiles was about the be extracted. Was it because of me, or was it planned. I suddenly hated it that I didn’t researched the methods of looking for new redpills. My phone rang. “Wow Emned, you got there fast, how did you do it?” Davis asked. “Ehm…never mind, let’s get her,” I replied. I jumped of the roof and walked towards her front door. I removed my mask. I was about to knock on the door when suddenly Davis called again. “Emned, I’m picking up machines, get in there!” I kicked the door in and saw three man in heavy armor holding her, she looked at me shocked and that was the last thing I saw before the fourth guard hit me on the head. I don’t remember how long I had been out, all I remember was the irritating ring from my phone going off for what seemed like an eternity. I stood up. “Ugh..what happened,” I asked. “They knocked you out and took her,” “Why didn’t they kill me?” “Go ask them when you see them again,” Davis replied sarcastically. “Do you know where they took her,” I replied rubbing my head. “Not yet, running a scan, I need you to go to the extraction point and get a check up, uploading coordinates now, no buts, captain’s orders,” I put the phone back in my pocket and walked outside. “Why did they take you…” I wondered before jumping off to Camon Heights

Like most buildings in The Slums the apartment complex I entered was dirty, old and the dust on the floor betrayed that heavy equipment was recently moved there. I took the stairs to the second floor and walked in a room that brought back memories. Two Zion operatives who I never met greeted me. “I was ordered to get a check up,” I said my thoughts somewhere else. “We were told you would come, the doctor is in the back room,” one of them replied. I slowly walked to the back room and opened the door. “Hi there Emned, sit down and let me look at you,” the doctor said. I sat down in the chair and the doctor kneeled before. With a little pocket light she shone in my eyes. “Hmm, seems like a mild concussion, I would recommend bed rest,” “Can’t do that doctor, I have a mission to complete,” “Important mission?” “A bluepill in danger sounds important enough to me,” “Very well then, here take this, “ she said giving me a purple colored pill. I swallowed it and stood up. “Thank you doctor, I’ll make sure to rest after I finish this,” I said walking out of the door. I wasn’t even outside when Davis called again. “We have her location, go there immediately, uploading now,” “Sai Kung?! Why there?” “Hell if I know, I never trained in Machine psychology,” I chuckled and put down the phone. I ran towards the nearest hardline and teleported to Sai Kung and checked my map. “A dojo…those machines get weirder every day, “ I muttered quickly focusing on my target. I jumped and landed in front of the door. I called Davis. “Operator,” “What can you tell me?” “Two guards and a bluepill reading, that must be her,” “Okay, going in now,” I hang up and drew my old but trustworthy revolver. I checked if it was loaded and could almost hear Davis sighing in front of his computer. Inside oriental music was playing and with all the lights out it gave a kind of spooky feeling. My head was still throbbing and that didn’t help at all. I took a deep breath and heard two voices. “Why don’t we let this one go,” “They need to reprogram here before she can be let loose, that Redpill made her too aware of The Matrix,” “Why not kill her and be done with it,” “Why waste a battery?” the other replied jokingly. I gritted my teeth and kicked through the canvas door. “Hi, I’m sorry about the door, I’d pay for it but as you are dead it would be a waste of my money,” I said trying to smile but my head protested. I shot one of guards between the eyes and tackled the other before knocking him out. I stood up again and ran to the girl. She was awake and tied up. I quickly cut her loose. “Are you alright, can you walk?” I asked. She nodded and I helped her standing. My phone rang. “Em, agents are coming towards you,” “Just great…” I replied hanging up. I looked at the woman. “What’s your name?” “Leila,” “Leila, I need you to trust me, we have to go now,” I took her hand and we ran out of the building. I picked up the phone. “Davis, I need a safehouse, now,” “Got one for you, three blocks away, The Green Dragon,” “Got it,” I replied. “Follow me” I said to Leila. We ran around the corner when I suddenly heard. “Mister Rush…I believe you have something that belongs to us,” I turned around and looked at the agent. “Give her to us and we’ll consider your surrender,” “I rather spend an eternity hearing Gray’s thoughts about human beings than giving her to you,” I said while pulling out my gun and firing at the agent. He dodged it quite easily of course. I put my arm around Leila. “Remember what I said about trusting me?” I whispered. “Now is the time, hold on to me,” I emptied my gun once again on the agent and then jumped on the roof of the building behind the agent. Leila looked shocked. “Sorry about that, we have to move, don’t let go,” I said while jumping again. My cell phone rang. “Hurry up, go to your left,” Davis said. I jumped and landed before The Green Dragon. We walked in, it looked like an ordinary restaurant. I guided her to a chair and sat down across of her. I called Davis. “You lost them, good job, bring her to the back where she’ll be extracted. “Will do, in a sec,” I said hanging up. I looked at her and grabbed her hands. “Are you okay?” I asked. “What’s happening,” “Have you ever had the feeling that something was not right in the world, the feeling you want to wake up but can’t?” “All the time,” “And don’t you have one question you want to find the answer too but no matter how much you search online you can’t seem to find it?” “Yes,” “What is that question?” “What is the Matrix?” “I can show you,” I said. I stood up and led her to the back door. “I can only guide you to the door, you have to walk through it,” She touch the doorknob and turned around. “At least tell me your name,” “My name is Emned, you can call me Em, most people do,” “Thanks for saving me, twice, you are a real hero,” I shook my head…regretted it immediately. “Thank me later, when we’ll see each other again,” I said. “Will we?” “We have other people to tell us the future, “ I said. I turned around and walked outside.

((Very nice, Emster. I wrote a little something from Ivy's perspective.))
Iviera rested her arm on the Operator’s shoulder, leaning forward to watch the array of cascading green code. Davis was a tough individual with many hours of jack-in time under his belt, and the rough muscles under his shirt proved that. Of course his jack had been permanently damaged over three years ago at the end of the war, and so he had decided to become a full-time Operator. In many ways he reminded her of an old lion.
“He’s clear,” Davis said in his traditionally casual voice, and then relayed the information to Emned.
The Captain breathed a sigh of relief she didn’t realize she’d been holding in. “He’s lucky that Agent didn’t jump into the bluepill he’s transporting. That would have been a lose-lose situation.”
“He made a ballsy move. You know what I say: ‘risk big, win big’,” he replied with a smirk. It was probably his favorite proverb, though it wasn’t hers. Even a small risk can get you killed.
Cynicism aside, she was impressed. Emned had managed to survive an encounter with Machine SWAT forces and an Agent, and successfully moved the potential for extraction while doing so. She looked over her shoulder at his body resting in an ecto-chair. The other crewmates – Kimedo and Recruiter – were jacked in too, and the Neptune seemed so much livelier than when it was just her and Davis. This reminded her, again, that she would have to pick a First Mate soon. She hated that – they were all valued members of the crew, and playing favorites was something she refused to do.
“Let’s keep him moving,” she said, still looking at his body. “And I want to know what happens with that new extraction.”

((Thanks Ivy, I liked your part. Now I don't know much about concussions, so it took Em a little over a day to be ready to get back to work and while that might not be very realistic I don't want Em to slack off and it was a mild concussion too Well, I made all the excuses I could think off, ready to post a new part. Oh one more excuse...I regret writing in first person view now)) Davis called. “Good job Em, couldn’t have done it better,” he said. “However, we need to keep you moving, your brain signals are starting to peak above normal,” “I don’t need a computer to tell me that, I can feel that too,” I replied feeling dizzy and sick. “You have pressured yourself too much by hyperjumping with double the normal weight, pay back’s a b*tch ain’t it?” “Shut up, just get me to the nearest hardline…oh and be the way, she wasn’t that heavy,” “Two blocks away, go to your left,” I turned around. “Your other left,” I turned around again. The pain inside of my brain grew per second. I stumbled towards the nearest hardline and jacked out. I opened my eyes and saw Davis hovering above me. “Hey there, let me get that pin out of you and get you to bed,” “Do I have to?” I asked knowing the answer. “I can call the captain to convince you,” Davis joked. I considered the thought for a moment and then got up. I felt relieved to feel the ships floor beneath my feet. In the few weeks I have been aboard the Neptune I started to love her…it, did I just called it a she? This concussion must drive me crazy. “Where’s the captain?” “In the cockpit, but that is not where you are going mate, she ordered me to get you to your bed immediately,” I sighed. Davis guided me to my room and gave me something to drink. His secret recipe. It tasted like the usually goop only more fluid. “Now, I am going to wake you every two hours to make sure you are alright,” I nodded slowly and closed my eyes. It was at these times images of my past and present mixed up together. The girl next door, the bluepill Leila I…saved, the captain. I pushed the thoughts out of my mind and fell asleep. The night was horrible, getting waked with a splitting headache every two hours, hearing Davis asking stupid questions, who I was, where I was, what I thought of a certain redhead…that last one I didn’t understand either but I also couldn’t remember that Davis had his hair dyed purple. The door opened once again and Davis stepped in. “Good morning, I think…never too sure here,” he said seeing that I was awake. “How long did I sleep?” I asked yawning. “27 hours, how do you feel?” “Better, I’m ready to get back in,” I replied sitting up, really feeling better. “I’ll be the one to decide that, let’s get you a check up,” Five minutes later I sat in back in the ecto-chair. “Running medical scans,” Davis announced. “Results are slightly above normal in the head area, other parts work like a well oiled machine, “ “Could you stop making analogies with machines, it frightens me,” I said jokingly. “That’s an operatives prerogative,” “According to?” “Link,” I sighed. “Okay, if all is normal jack me in,” “Okay, fasten your seatbelt, turn of all devices, the exits are to your left and right and peanuts will be delivered in exactly one hour, we hope you have a happy flight,” Davis pressed the button and before I knew my eye sight was adjusting to the green Matrix code.

((new story, chapter, whatever you want to call it. I decided to write in third person, as that is what I usually do, I hope you like it, feedback is appreciated. If you want you may add to it too )) It was a few days later when Emned once again appeared from out of a Phone booth, much like Superman he thought. He looked back at the hardline. “Well, not really..” He looked down at his new clothes. Black pants, black jacket and with a tie. Over that he wore a long leather trench coat. He noticed that the clothes took his adversaries off guard, because well, who would use kung fu moves in a suit. He straightened his tie and jumped landing on top of the building in front of him and quickly ran to the other side to jump. He repeated this process until he landed near a big warehouse. Today’s mission was simple, go in, get data, get out, go home. He got the phone out of his pocket and called his operator. “Operator,” “I need a scan,” “Scan coming up, hmm, five guards, machines naturally, the computer with the data is at the back,” “Naturally…no entrances on the other side?” “Nope, all sealed up, I’ll download the locations to your map, good luck Em,” “Thanks Davis, I’ll need it,” he replied hanging up and putting the phone back in his pocket. He jumped down and walked to the door. He listened at the door and opened it slightly. He quickly peaked inside and quickly ducked down behind a crate. The warehouse was a big hall with in the back a small office. He slowly moved aside and peaked at the corner. He saw a guard in SWAT armor. “The tough ones…must be important…” Emned said to himself. The guard turned around and walked to the middle of the hall to talk to another guard. Emned checked his map, two guards in the middle, one on each side and one in the office. He used the crates to stay out of view for the guards in the middle and slowly made his way to the office pressing his body against the left wall. He suddenly heard footsteps coming his way and he quickly ducked behind another crate. The guard passed by. Emned stood up and grabbed the guard. With a swift turn of the head the guard was down. Emned caught the body before it hit the ground. He softly lay the guard behind the crate and searched the body. He found a key ring with a key on it. He pocketed the key and moved on to the office. He sneaked towards the door. He listened at the door and could hear the guard standing right behind the door. He slowly reached for the key and put it in keyhole. It fitted perfectly. Slowly turning it. Emned heard a soft click and then threw open the door slamming it into the guard. He dived in and closed the door. The guard stood up and focused on the one who threw the door at him, without hesitation the guard launched his fist at him who he dodged. Emned focused and launched a series of punches in quick succession at the guard who fell on the ground. He waited for a minute and then sat down behind the desk and quickly searched it for the file he needed. He copied it to a disk while suddenly his phone rang. “Yes?” “Em, there was a security system on that computer, agents are homing in on your location, get out!” “Dammit!” He quickly pocketed the phone and the disk and looked at the door. He jumped towards it and walked through it. “No time to go sneaky now,” he said dashing towards the middle of the hangar. He jumped and landed on top of one guard and with a swift jump he kicked the other. Not enough to knock them out but confuse them. He ran towards the door which was suddenly blown apart and a man in a suit stepped in. “Mister Rush…you are becoming a real thorn in our side,” “Good, at least I am accomplishing something around here,” he replied. “Give us the disk,” “Geez, you guys need to learn some new lines, this one is getting old, “ The agent looked not amused and drew his gun. “Last chance Mister Rush,” Emned ducked towards the legs of the agent which knocked him over and then stood up and jumped out of the door. “That…was unexpected,” the Agent noted turning around and walking out of the door. Emned had jumped towards the building and was on his way back towards the hard line. The agent had followed him on the roof and copied his every motion and jump. Emned called Davis. “I need a distraction here otherwise I’m not going to make it,” he said before Davis even could say anything. “Ehm okay…look in your left jacket pocket,” Emned felt in his pocket still eyeing the road ahead. “A grenade,” “Yeah, when I say drop, you drop it down, not before, not after, got that,” “Yes,” Emned reached the edge of roof and jumped. “Drop!” Davis yelled. Emned dropped the grenade and landed. The grenade exploded in mid air where the agent was blowing it aside. “Quickly now, he won’t be out for long,” Davis said. Emned nodded and pocketed the phone making his way to the hardline and to safety. He opened his eyes and saw Davis looking at him. “Good job Em, you once again fled an agent and took a risk of hurting yourself badly, “ he said smiling. Emned couldn’t suppress a smile when he got out of his chair. The adrenaline still rushing through his veins.

Emned was sitting on the floor with a little box in front of him and all kind of strange looking tools around him. He seemed to be in deep thought when suddenly he felt a hand on his shoulder. “We do have workbenches you know?” he heard the voice of Davis saying. “I know Davis…I just can concentrate better when sitting on the floor,” he replied softly. Davis said down next to him. “What ya doing?” he asked looking at the box. “Trying to find someone,” “Who?” “Nobody” “Fine…you don’t have to tell me…” Davis said disgruntled. Emned laughed. “No I mean the guy I’m looking for is called Nobody…” “Oh…the one who you and the captain talked about earlier,” Davis noted. “Exacto mundo, so now I’m trying to rig up our scanning devices but without attracting to much attention,” “And that is why you are awake for 23 hours straight?” “Yes…captain’s orders,” “Don’t lie to me, you are doing this to yourself,” Davis said firmly. “Fine…what are you going to do about it?” Emned asked irritated. “Nothing…just saying that you don’t have prove yourself for her,” “You draw too many conclusions Davis,” “Oh cut it out! I see how you act around her, I’m maybe a little bit old but I’m not senile Em!” Emned looked at the box again. “You might be right…still this is important,” “Oh I don’t deny that, but you alive and awake is way more important, even for her,” Davis said taking the box out of Emned’s hand. “This can wait for a few hours, “ he said standing up. Emned nodded standing up with difficulty. “Thanks Davis,” Emned said walking to his cabin. Davis smiled and looked at the box in awe. “Nice piece of work Em…” he said to himself walking towards the main deck.
